Terms and Conditions
Existing customers will have the opportunity to re-book on priority booking day. To ensure a place on the next course, payment must be received within the priority booking deadline. The re-booking process will guarantee a place on the next course, it will not however guarantee a specific time slot.
All pupils are subject to movement within the class schedules and due to the range of ability levels, it is possible that no space will be available during the time slot. We will endeavour to be flexible in allocation of places according to ability, but may find it impossible to meet every eventuality.
Consideration will be given to siblings and other family members, but not all levels can be accommodated within the same time slots. If payment is not received within the priority booking deadline a place cannot be guaranteed on the next course. Places that become available after priority booking will be offered to both existing and new customers. All bookings and re-bookings will only be accepted if accompanied by full payment. Please note if a cheque is returned by your bank then a new payment will be required to include a £5 Bank administration fee.
Staff, teachers and pool space are paid for each term based on the numbers booked into the swimming school. It is our policy not to offer refunds or make-up lessons for non-attendance. Cancellations will not be accepted and no refunds given after lessons have commenced. Any refunds given will be at the discretion of the swimming school proprietor. Swimming pools are hired from a range of organisations that are directly responsible for the maintenance. Occasionally we encounter problems outside our control and have no option but to cancel a lesson. In the event of a pool closure we will offer a 'make up' lesson. If you cannot attend this lesson no refund will be given. If a make-up lesson is not possible we will offer a credit note for future swimming courses.
Listed class numbers are target figures and cannot be guaranteed. There are times when a teacher may be unable to attend due to sickness. In the unusual event of this, every effort is made to provide a replacement teacher but occasionally classes may need to be combined. Parents please wait with your children until they are asked to enter the pool side. While viewing the lesson please ensure that noise is kept to a minimum and any children watching are kept close to you at all times. Parents must never distract the swimming teacher during lessons and should direct all communication through the pool side helper or co-ordinator.
Parents are responsible for their children in the changing area. It is very important that children behave appropriately at all times while at the swimming venue. In the interest of safety, inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated, during or after the lessons.
Children over the age of seven must use the correct changing room. Mums can only go into the girls changing room, and Dads can only go into the boys changing room. For children under seven years old, who need help changing, parents must take them to the correct changing room. Mum takes them into the girls. Dad takes them into the boys regardless of the child's gender.
Parents must stay at the venue for the entire duration of their child’s lesson. If you have more than one child swimming, and the lessons exceed thirty minutes, then you must remain at the venue.
